Big story breaking about Ray Epps, following the lead into Stuart Rhodes regarding Jan 6th 'insurrection'. It doesn't look like Jan 6th was the result of failed intelligence, more a failed intel operation.
If you managed to find the buried lead in the Whitmer abduction story (right wing extremists hatched plot to abduct Gretchen Whitmer), where the 18 protagonists turned out to include 12 FBI informers or agents, then you will know where to look.

Tax is a big factor, especially at state level. California has some of the highest state tax in the nation on gasoline prices which is why we pay way more per gallon at the pump than the national average.
as for 115 bn on roads, that is enough asphalt to cover 20,000 miles of road....London to Los Angeles is approx 5,400 miles.
That's a lot of Asphalt.

Isn't tax one of the biggest impactors on the price of petrol?
The base price rises and if half the cost of a gallon of petrol is tax, tax then doubles that increase at the pump.
Nations could quite easily regulate the forecourt price the customer pays as taxation policy lies entirely within the remit of each nation's government.

As for OPEC,
OPEC use to call the shots however that went away under Trump as the US had Energy Independence and was in fact the largest oil producer on the planet. 11.3 million barrells per day in 2020.....An increase in US oil Production would pick up the slack provided by OPEC quotas. Which is part of the reason why oil prices were low for pretty much all of Trumps presidency.
OPEC realized that by adding quotas and limiting production to inflate the price they would simply lose the business to the US and China, so they stopped doing it.
So what can Biden do?
One answer is if Biden were to maintain Trumps Energy policy then the market would not be Beholden to the OPEC cartel. However we have already seen Biden's attack on oil production from the day he took office, so it doesn't bode well.
And stop with the global warming angle. Biden's infrastructure bill alone has 115 billion dollars in spending on resurfacing and laying new roads that is gonna require a lot of Asphalt, (oil based}..... And just because oil isn't produced in the USA doesn't mean that other countries won't fill any void.
So to recap, No international set price for oil and Biden needs to step up and do what's right for the US Consumer, not China's or Russia's or anybody else.
last thing we need is higher oil prices for a prolonged period. I Bet the Russians love Moscow Joe. He approved the Russian to Germany pipeline, but not the Keystone pipeline and seems quite content with high oil prices, I Wonder if the Mayor of Moscow's wife has bought some of Hunters paintings?

Shortages are pushing up prices of oil right now Darby isn’t that obvious?

All the others are the same. Canadian crude, the Mexican basket, the Sahara Blend, Girassol, Iran Light, etc etc etc. All very close to all-time highs.

The Executive orders signed by Biden since he’s been in office have all been considered an attack on oil and energy production in the USA.

Under Trump the USA had energy independence and policies that were oil friendly. A big difference to Bidens policies.
It’s the electricity bill next, get prepared for a big increase in that too.
Meanwhile China and other oil producing nations will simply step in and fill the void and will all benefit from lower oil prices in their respective markets while here in the USA we will continue to pay more.
What a disaster.
